R410A is an almost azeotropic blend,made up with equal
quantities of R125 and R32 and has a glide temperature of
approximately 0,1K.
It is most frequently used for HT and MT applications and,
despite of R22,it is a chlorine-free refrigerant and has no
negative effect on the ozone layer.Nevertheless its global
warming potential is higher than R22 one.
R410A dielectric characteristics are similare to R22,therefore
not creating particular constraints while used with hermetic and
semi-hermetic compressor technology.
R410A makes the system work with consistently higher
pressures with respect to R22,therefore it is absolutely not
recommended to use it as a retrofit refrigerant.
R410A induces higher pressure differences as well,therefore
the majority of the components should be specifically designed,
with particular mention to the compressor.
