Spring Festival is the most important and unique festival in china.To the Chinese it is as important as Christmas.It is located on every year's first day.
There was a legend of Spring Festival.Long long ago,there was a monster called“Nian”.It lived in deep sea.It dissapead on New Year’s Eve,then it ate human beings in a village.Later an old man came to the villageand he said he can let the monster go away.Then on New Year's Eve,he played crackers,Nian heard this sound,flet very frightened.At last,Nian left forever.Since then,people stated playing crackers and fireworks.Later,many customs showed up,such aseating dumplings,writeing Spring Festival coupletsand so on.And passing the year is a happy thing to children,because they can recieve cash gifts
When Spring Festival comes,most people will have about ten days off.
