和形容词一样,副词也有原级、比较级.
规则变化：
1.单音节词,加er
（1）副词和形容词同形,单音节,在词尾加er
fast – ____________ hard –____________ loud—________________
（2）以字母“e”结尾的副词,加”r”
late --- _____________
（3以辅音字母y结尾的副词,先变i,再加er
early –______________
2.双音节和多音节词,前面加more
accurately—________________ carefully – _________________
gracefully – ________________ politely--____________________
有些副词有两种形式,都可以
slowly –slower / more slowly quickly – quicker / more quickly
loudly –louder / more loudly softly – softer / more softly
neatly – neater / more neatly
3.不规则变化,需要熟记
well – better
badly- worse
little – less
much –more
late – later
far---farther

比较级前一般不用冠词，但若表示“两者中较……时”，比较级前要加定冠词。例如：
He is the taller of the two. 他是两者中较高的一个
在下列结构中比较级前也常加定冠词，即“the+比较级，the+比较级”，表示“越……越……”。例如：
The busier he is, the happier he feels. 他越忙越高兴。...
